What types of tracking devices does TrackAlert detect?

TrackAlert detects Bluetooth-based tracking devices — including AirTags, Tile trackers, Samsung SmartTags, and similar devices — that have been placed covertly in vehicles, cargo, equipment, bags, or facilities without authorization.

Absolutely. TrackAlert scans a defined space for unauthorized tracking devices and immediately alerts your security team via SMS text, phone call, and email the moment one is found. For continuous unattended monitoring, the Premium plan enables always-on scanning even when the app is closed.

How does the alert system work when a tracker is found?

When a hidden tracking device is detected, TrackAlert fires whichever alert channels you have enabled — SMS text, phone call, email, and/or push notification. Each channel is independently configurable, so you can use all four or just the ones that work for you. All enabled channels notify every contact on your list. There's no limit on how many contacts you can add.

Does TrackAlert work for fleet vehicles and vessels?

Yes. TrackAlert can sweep any vehicle, commercial transport, yacht, or vessel for covertly planted trackers. Run a manual scan any time the app is open, or upgrade to Premium for continuous monitoring that runs even when the app is closed.

Does TrackAlert use GPS or access my location?

No. TrackAlert uses Bluetooth scanning to detect nearby tracking devices and does not use GPS or access your device's location. An internet connection is only required to dispatch the SMS, call, and email alerts when a tracker is found.

Is there a limit on emergency contacts?

No limit. Add as many contacts as your team needs — security personnel, managers, family members, or colleagues. Every contact is notified through whichever alert channels you have enabled when a tracker is detected.

How is TrackAlert different from the built-in tracker warnings on iOS or Android?

Built-in OS warnings are designed to protect the phone owner from being tracked personally and are limited to their own detection logic. TrackAlert is purpose-built to actively scan a space or asset for any nearby tracking device and immediately notify an entire team — making it far more suited for commercial, industrial, and security use cases.
